Overview

This course pathway will provide novice mold makers and lab technicians with a host of basic mold making & casting skills for duplicating almost any type of three-dimensional artwork. Using a range of molding & casting materials including alginate, gelatin, fiberglass, latex, silicone, stone and urethane, our master artists will teach you how to mold & cast makeups, maquettes, masks, puppets, and props. Along the way, you'll improve your ability to successfully capture surface detail, avoid undercuts, and achieve excellent replication of the original art.
