Making Monsters at YouTube Space LA
Our mission is to connect the masters of Creature FX with aspiring artists around the world. So when YouTube Space LA invited us to collaborate with up-and-coming filmmakers on their monster movies we jumped at the chance.
The event was a huge success, and we recorded it all LIVE via Google Hangouts on Air. You'll find photos, videos, details and links below.

What happened at YouTube Space LA
DAY 1 - September 30th, 2013
Makeup FX Masters Lance Anderson (Thriller, Dawn of the Dead, The Thing) and Bruce Spaulding Fuller (Resident Evil 2, Army of Darkness, Terminator 2) transform YouTube stars into monsters and zombies for short films by Danny Jordan and Alan Weischedel aka Third String Kicker and Michael Stratigakis aka Doogtoons.
Featuring a special guest appearance by Scott Ian from Anthrax, host of "Blood and Guts" on The Nerdist Channel.
And thanks to makeup assistants Makeup Assistants Steph Koza, Melissa Jiménez, Shari Smith!

DAY 2 - October 1st, 2013
Makeup FX legends Academy Award nominated Alec Gillis (Aliens, Tremors, AvP) and 2-Time Emmy Winner Steve Johnson (Ghostbusters, Species, Blade II) turn YouTube stars into werewolves, mummies, vampires and zombies for short films by Jarrett Sleeper and Zeke Thomas aka Murderbot Productions and Anthony Deptula aka MadAtoms.
