Tim Gore

Master Creature FX Artist, Creator of Tim Gore's Bloodline™ for Createx

About Tim

For nearly thirty years, Tim Gore has been a presence in the Special Effects industry for film and television. His work and experience has innovated the techniques, workflow and style of many well-known projects and creature creations. His credits include THE LOST WORLD: JURASSIC PARK, FANTASTIC 4: RISE OF THE SILVER SURFER, THE CHRONICLES OF RIDDICK, VAN HELSING, THE PASSION OF THE CHRIST, BLADE II, KULL THE CONQUERER, X-MEN: THE LAST STAND, HANSEL & GRETEL: WITCH HUNTERS, PACIFIC RIM and HELLBOY 1 and 2. He has also worked successfully in the toy design and prototyping fields.

His visionary and often nightmarish personal art—hand-sculpted, molded and painted—is an extension of his experience in the business. Each original fine art piece is a vision informed by Tim’s hyper-realistic techniques honed during his long career creating creatures for film, television and ancillary industries. More than just paintings, or sculptures, Tim’s art speaks to hidden horrors, a mix of the mundane and macabre that has made Tim a celebrity in the world of lowbrow art. Tim’s work has been shown in galleries specializing in such “dark” art, including the Copro-Nasson Gallery, The Hyaena Gallery and Gallery Nucleus.

One of Tim’s latest artistic expressions is the development of his own airbrush acrylic paint line from Createx Colors, called Tim Gore's Bloodline™. This line of airbrush colors specifically created by Tim, includes colors designed for the subtleties of painting everything from hyper-real creatures, humanoids and monsters, to latex masks, resin kits and beyond to the limits of any artist’s imagination.

Though Tim is justifiably proud of his work painting iconic dinosaurs for Steven Spielberg and Stan Winston in JURASSIC PARK II, his favorite and most proud movie-moment is his HELLBOY cameo where he utters the famous line, “Hey. You Hellboy?...You ugly, man.”
