BIOGRAPHY

Michael Ornelaz began his professional career in 1988 working numerous seasons as a make up artist with the Central City Opera, San Francisco Opera and San Francisco Ballet.  

In 1992, Ornelaz and his wife, Roxanne, moved to Bakersfield, CA to get closer to Los Angeles and the epicenter of film production.  While testing the waters in Los Angeles, Ornelaz landed work with the Mark Taper Forum.  

In 1995, Ornelaz interviewed at Stan Winston Studio where his skills always seemed to be in high demand.  With a group of Stan Winston Studio artists, he made the transition with Legacy Effects where he continues to collaborate with artists he describes as, "the most talented artists in the business."  He is currently a member in good standing with Makeup Union local 706 and the Screen Actors Guild.
