Michael Mekash

6-time Emmy Award-winning makeup effects artist Mike Mekash has had a passion for art since he was a kid. He started his career as a graphic artist in Washington state for the skateboard and snowboard industry.

He began the next phase of his career drawing tattoos for film and television shows when he got the call to come to Los Angeles in 2000 to be the lead designer for Tinsley Studio.

After working hard to parlay his skills as an artist into becoming a makeup artist, Mike has had the pleasure to contribute his talents to many films and TV series, including Iron Man 2, The Amazing Spider-Man, Mad Max: Fury Road, Scream Queens, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Star Trek: Discovery, The Mandalorian, American Horror Story, Stranger Things, and Nope to name just a few.
