About Josh
Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, Josh Saks loved art and movie magic from a young age. As a teenager, he would build sets and apply makeup FX for his high school drama class. At 15, Josh's counselor got him a tour of a local FX shop, which changed his life forever.
Josh taught at makeup schools and later became the production manager at MEL Products, where he worked for eight years. In 2014, Academy Award-winning makeup effects artist Joel Harlow hired him to help run molds and, later, work in fabrication and the silicone department. Josh has worked for many shops in the FX industry but calls Harlow's Morphology his home, where he has spent almost ten years working in the silicone department.
Josh's credits include Star Trek: Beyond, Pirates of the Caribbean, Hellboy 2019, Logan, NOS4A2, Evil, Black Panther, Avengers Endgame, Wakanda Forever, and Disney's Haunted Mansion.
