About Josh
Always inspired by art and drawing as a kid, Josh Herman (Amazing Spider-Man, The Avengers, Iron Man 3) tried his hand at other things like business school, entrepreneurship, and auto-body mechanic before finally deciding to pursue art as a career.
He attended a local animation college in his native Colorado before making the move to Hollywood in 2008 to continue his education at the Gnomon School of Visual Effects.
After graduating from Gnomon, Josh began his professional career as a digital artist at leading FX studio Legacy Effects, where he worked on movies like Real Steel, The Amazing Spider-Man, Total Recall, and The Avengers. He then worked as a designer for the video game company Naughty Dog, where he contributed to Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception. Josh eventually joined the team at Marvel Studios, where he contributed his artistry to many of their biggest films, including Iron Man 3, Thor: The Dark World, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Guardians of the Galaxy, The Avengers: Age of Ultron, Doctor Strange, and Avengers: Endgame.
Josh currently works at Wizards of the Coast as Principal Art Director, overseeing the Dungeons & Dragons TTRPG.
