Oscar and Emmy-winning makeup effects artist Joel Harlow is one of the leading makeup effects artists in film and television today, known for his versatility as a designer, makeup creator, and on-set makeup artist. For Joel, it's all about creating characters, and taking them full circle from design to completion has become his specialty.

Joel’s career spans 35+ years, and his work can be seen in countless TV series and blockbuster films, including Inception, The Lone Ranger, Into the Woods, Alice in Wonderland, Alice Through the Looking Glass, the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, Star Trek Beyond, Black Panther, Hellboy (2019), Godzilla: King of the Monsters, A Quiet Place Part II, NOS4A2, Jungle Cruise, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Evil and upcoming projects Jumanji 3 and Vaiana, to name just a few.
