Fred Fraleigh

Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Fred knew he wanted to be an artist from a very young age. At Pius XI High School, he began to develop a foundation skill set that would prepare him for his future as a fine artist and FX fabricator. In 1996, Fred graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design with a BFA in sculpture.

Since 1998, Fred has been working in the Hollywood film and special effects industry as a fabricator and specialty costumer. Over that time, he has had the great pleasure to bring his talents to many of the top shops in the field, including Spectral Motion, Steve Johnson’s XFX, Harlow FX, Jim Henson’s Creature Shop, Rick Baker’s Cinovation Studios, KNB EFX, and Alterian, Inc.

Fred’s notable film and television credits include, The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance, Avengers: Infinity War, Captain America: Civil War, X-Men: Apocalypse, The Cabin in the Woods, Men in Black 2 & 3, Hellboy 1 & 2, Lady in the Water, Evolution, and Bicentennial Man.
