Primal Rage by SFX Artist Patrick Magee
I've officially launched the KickStarter campaign for my feature film, Primal Rage: The Legend of Oh-Mah. Primal Rage is a practical effects, character-based Bigfoot thriller, as Bigfoot has never been seen before. It's Predator meets First Blood meets Pumpkinhead, with this re-envisioning of the Bigfoot legends. Finally a serious Bigfoot movie! No need for visual effects, all real, practical effects under the direction of a seasoned, practical, special effects artist. The film has a man in a creature suit, gruesome kills, make-up driven characters, animatronics, self-mechanized masks, armor and more.

A Story of Survival Packed With Action and Horror
I've spent the last six years working on this life-long dream: to make a great monster movie loaded with practical make-up effects and an actual actor in a creature suit! Over the past six years, I've devoted countless hours to developing and writing the script (along with co-writer Jay Lee) for Primal Rage: The Legend of Oh-Mah. The story is one of survival, action, horror, love and characters that the audience will truly care about. My goal is to tell a great story with an amazing monster and excellent special effects.

Making the Ultimate Bigfoot Suit
No time or expense was spared creating this suit. Every little detail, from sculpted toe-prints to the nose hairs individually punched into the face were thought out and executed to perfection. With a team of mold-makers, casters, fabricators, hair punchers and mechanics at my side, I sculpted and painted every inch of the suit.

The funds raised by this Kickstarter campaign will go towards paying a cast, crew and filming on location. The great part of supporting a special effects make-up artist is that all the effects will be “on the house”! The suit is made, the make-ups are created, the special effects are being finished! With increasing CGI monsters and digital blood gags, the movie industry has seen a lull in GOOD, PRACTICAL, monster-movies over the past few years. We want to bring the trend of REAL monsters, REAL effects and REAL characters back to an audience who is yearning them.
