Mike Jay Regan

Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, Mike Jay Regan was part of a generation inspired by Star Wars and then propelled into a love of makeup effects by the video age of the early 80s and the work of Rob Bottin, Rick Baker, and Stan Winston.

At age 19, he got his first effects job working for Freddy Krueger designer David Miller on A Nightmare on Elm Street 5. He worked for Miller on several projects over the following years before meeting Gary J. Tunnicliffe in early 1994 and beginning a working relationship that would endure for 25 years and over 50 films (including 7 Hellraiser movies).

Mike has also worked for Rick Baker, Spectral Motion, ADI, and KNB Effects, amongst others.
