About Rick
Rick Galinson grew up in La Jolla, CA, and graduated from USC in 1990 with a B.S. in BioMedical Engineering.
Rick had his first FX job in 1990 with Kevin Yagher, working on seminal projects such as Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey and Child's Play 3.
Following his stint at Yagher's, he had the opportunity to work at most of the industry's top FX shops, including, within his first year in the industry, contributing to the groundbreaking effects in Jurassic Park at Stan Winston Studio.
Rick's been married for more than 20 years, resulting in 3 kids and 1 jeep. He's a SCUBA-certified diver (more than 30 years).
He holds a patent on his truly awesome recreational weapon, the paintball gatling gun, and has, to date, saved 3 people's lives and one bulldog (CPR).
