Rick Galinson grew up in La Jolla, CA and graduated from USC in 1990 with a B.S. in BioMedical Engineering.
Rick had his first FX job in 1990, with Kevin Yagher, where he worked on such seminal projects as BILL AND TED'S BOGUS JOURNEY and CHILD'S PLAY 3.
Following his stint at Yagher's he had the opportunity to work at most of the industry's top FX shops, including, within his first year in the industry, contributing to the groundbreaking effects in JURASSIC PARK at Stan Winston Studio.
Rick's been married for 17 years resulting in 3 kids, 1 jeep. He's a SCUBA certified diver (29 years).
He holds a patent on his truly awesome recreational weapon, the paintball gattling gun, and has to date saved 3 people's lives, and one bulldog (CPR).
